At Ecològic Girona S.L., we assist companies in the calculation and comprehensive management of their carbon footprint, covering Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Our objective is to promote sustainability and strengthen environmental commitment through a clear and effective methodology, based on international standards and, specifically, the guidelines of ISO 14064.
We work with a specific template that allows us to classify and thoroughly analyze the different environmental aspects of each organization, ensuring a detailed and personalized approach. The process begins with the collection of data provided by the client, including information on activities, energy consumption, supplier records, and other relevant environmental indicators.
Based on this information, we perform a comprehensive and detailed calculation of the main greenhouse gases (GHG), such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). These emissions are categorized according to the selected activities, generally divided into four or five main categories. Using the recorded data and the latest emission factors published by MITECO, we calculate the total carbon footprint in tons of CO2 equivalent.
Thanks to this methodology, companies can identify the activities with the greatest environmental impact and prioritize efforts in these areas by defining effective strategies for reduction, compensation, and continuous improvement. Additionally, all calculations are verified by an accredited entity, meeting the necessary requirements for publication in MITECO, thus ensuring their validity and credibility.
